If you’ve ever walked out of a session thinking…
“Was that normal?” or “Why didn’t it feel like I expected?”

You are not alone 🤍

The body doesn’t always release in a loud, obvious way.
Sometimes the biggest sign of progress is that your nervous system finally starts to settle.

Quiet sessions can still be supportive.
Slow sessions can still mean your body is processing.
And tension doesn’t mean your body is resisting you — it usually means it’s learning to feel safe.

✨ You don’t have to force anything.
You just have to keep listening.

Have you ever felt this?
Comment “ME” and I’ll reply with reassurance + what we see most often in the clinic 🤍

Some sessions feel very “active”…
and others feel slower or lighter.

And that is completely normal 🤍

A colonic session can vary depending on things like:
• hydration levels
• how stressed or tense the body feels
• how long it’s been since your last bowel movement
• digestion speed
• food choices in the days prior
• your cycle / hormones
• and simply what your body is ready to release that day

There is no “perfect” session — and more activity doesn’t always mean “better.”
What matters most is that your body is supported gently and safely.

If you’ve ever left wondering “was mine normal?” — it probably was 🤍
Feel free to DM us anytime with questions.

A colonic works best when the body feels safe and relaxed.
Tension, shallow breathing, and nervous anticipation can all make the experience feel more uncomfortable than it needs to be.

These gentle practices are simple ways many clients find helpful for calming the body during a session — supporting relaxation, easing tension, and allowing the process to feel more comfortable and grounded.

There’s no “right” way to experience a colonic. Every body responds differently, and our goal is always to meet you where you are with care, respect, and calm support 🤍

Save this for your next visit, or share it with someone who may feel nervous about their first session.

Some people don’t just “feel tight” in their abdomen —
they hold tension there.

For many, this isn’t about core strength or posture…
it’s the body staying slightly guarded after long periods of stress, bracing, or emotional overwhelm.

The abdomen is where we breathe, process sensation, and feel vulnerability —
so for some people, that’s where the body holds.

If this feels familiar, you’re not broken or doing anything wrong.

Awareness is the first step toward softening, safety, and support 🤍

Many clients share that they can’t always tell the difference between feeling full and feeling pressure in their abdomen — and that uncertainty can feel confusing or even a little scary.

But these sensations don’t always mean the same thing… and they’re not always a sign that something is “wrong.”

Sometimes what you’re noticing has more to do with:
✨ how your body is holding tension
✨ how your nervous system is responding
✨ or how your digestion is moving that day

In this carousel, we gently explore the general differences people often describe —
without diagnosing, labeling, or pathologizing the body.

Our goal is simply to help you feel:
• more aware
• more informed
• and a little less worried about every sensation you notice 🤍

If you’ve ever wondered whether you were feeling fullness or pressure — you’re not alone.

If your colonic sessions have ever felt different from one visit to the next — you’re not alone, and it doesn’t mean anything is “off.”

Your body isn’t the same every day… and sessions can reflect things like stress levels, hydration, tension, and how supported your nervous system feels in that moment.

In this carousel, we’re sharing why two perfectly normal sessions can feel:
• lighter or slower
• more internal or more active
• calm one day + sensitive another

Every experience is valid — and we always move at your pace.

Swipe through to learn why this happens and why it’s completely normal 🤍

If you’ve noticed this in your own sessions, you’re in good company.

If you’ve never had a colonic before, the first few minutes can feel unfamiliar — and that’s completely normal.

Most people aren’t uncomfortable… they’re simply noticing new sensations and wondering,
“Is this what it’s supposed to feel like?”

That’s why we take these first moments slowly:

✨ checking in with your breathing
✨ explaining what you may feel
✨ making adjustments for comfort
✨ reminding you — you’re in control the entire time

You don’t have to “be brave” or push through anything here…
Our goal is to help your body relax, feel supported, and ease into the session gently.

Many clients tell us that once they settle in,
their nervous system softens — and they feel surprisingly calm.

If you’ve ever been curious but nervous about what the first few minutes are like…
this post is for you. 🤍

Tell me — what’s the part you’re most unsure about before a first session?

Feeling nervous before your first colonic is more common than most people realize. For many first-timers, it isn’t the session itself that feels overwhelming — it’s the anticipation, the unknowns, and wondering what to expect.

At our clinic, we move slowly, check in often, and always follow your comfort level. You’re in control the entire time, and there’s no “right” way to experience your first session — your body gets to move at its own pace.

If you’re someone who feels anxious trying something new, you’re not alone — and you’re exactly the kind of person we take gentle care of.

Save this post for whenever you need a little reassurance, and feel free to message us if you have questions or want to talk through what a session is like.

Meet the Owner 🤍
Hi! I’m Melissa, the owner of Your Inner Health here in Costa Mesa. I purchased the clinic in 2021, and it has been such an honor to grow this space into a warm, supportive place for healing.

I truly believe in helping people feel lighter, more connected to their bodies, and supported in their gut-health journey. Every client who walks through our doors matters to me.

My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and caring environment — whether it’s your first colonic or your fiftieth.

Thank you for trusting us with your wellness. I’m so grateful you’re here. 🤍✨

3 signs your gut might be asking for support 🤍

Your body whispers before it ever screams — and your gut is one of the first places those whispers show up.
If you’ve been feeling “off,” these signs are your body’s way of saying it needs a little extra care.

You don’t need extreme diets, restriction, or complicated routines.
Just small, gentle shifts can make a huge difference in how you feel every day.

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone — healing your gut is absolutely possible.

Save this to come back to later 🤍
