We are so excited to announce that the 4th Annual Dolled Up Luncheon is happening on May 6 at the stunning Pacific Club in Newport Beach. This year we are beyond honored to welcome our Keynote speaker Lu Parker. Lu is a 6x Emmy Award-winning journalist, former Miss USA, inspirational speaker, kindness advocate, and founder of Be Kind & Co. Lu knows first hand how to navigate change with grace and resilience.

Her message couldn’t feel more fitting for this event. Because at Dolled Up, we gather to honor the dignity of life in every chapter. All proceeds from the event will go to support The Heavenly Home, Orange County’s first nonprofit residential end of life care home.

One of the most inspiring people we’ve met through Eddie’s journey is his son, Wyatt.

Wyatt is nonverbal autistic and communicates using a spelling board. His voice may look different, but his thoughts, intelligence, and heart shine through in incredible ways.

Wyatt has a goal: to reach 1,000 followers on Instagram.

Eddie’s story made the news. ❤️

After we shared about Eddie — a lifelong Saints fan spending his final days at the Heavenly Home — something incredible happened.

🏈 Drew Brees came to visit him in person.

A moment this family will never forget.

New Orleans man with days to live meets football hero

After hearing about Eddie — a lifelong Saints fan spending his final days at the Heavenly Home after a sudden brain cancer diagnosis — video messages from NFL players began pouring in from all over the country.

But then something unforgettable happened.

Drew Brees came to visit Eddie in person.

The entire visit took place in the backyard so Eddie could be outside with his family. Resting in his hospital bed under the gazebo, Eddie watched as Drew spent time with him and his loved ones, bringing laughter, encouragement, and kindness during an incredibly difficult time.

Drew even tossed a football with Eddie’s two boys in the yard so their dad could watch.

And in a moment none of us will ever forget…

Eddie caught a football from Drew Brees.

For a lifelong fan, that moment meant everything.

This is what compassion looks like.
This is what leadership looks like.

If anyone in the football community would like to continue sending messages of encouragement, we know it would mean the world to Eddie and his family.

We are so grateful for Trinity Counseling Ministries for visiting the Heavenly Home with their mini therapy ponies and bringing so many smiles with them! 🐴🐴

These horses brought sweet kisses and love which created beautiful moments of connection for our end-of-life care patients. Thank you for sharing your hearts and time to bring these animals back to the Heavenly Home!
