Daniel at FOCUS Nutritionist Daniel Nishikawa offering customizable workouts for your personal needs.

Rehabilitation, Plyometrics, Endurance and Interval Training, Sports Training, HIIT Training, and more! Daniel Nishikawa, head trainer and owner of Focus Athletics, got his start growing up in Hawaii where his father instilled a passion for health and fitness in him at an early age. He then received a Massage Therapist License and pursued a BA in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Hawaii. His passion then led him to OCC to receive a Nutrition certification followed by 7 years of training at 24 Hour Fitness. He was ranked top 5 in the country of trainers working for 24 Hour in 2016, he has trained over 10,000 sessions, spent a year writing articles for Active OC magazine, and completed an additional 5 other certifications. He and his wife Taylor shared a desire for fitness and helping others which lead them to open Focus Athletics in June of 2017 to reach more people with the training and specialties that Daniel has to offer.

So, by this time I'm sure most of you have seen our big announcement Saturday 🎉🤗

We are so grateful to God for this opportunity & so excited for what is to come!

That being said, moving forward all "gym/business" content will be over on our new Instagram .oc (give us a follow 🤍), and this page will be more Daniel's own personal instagram for Focus Athletics.

So, here we will be sharing more fun content, still some workouts & fitness tips, openings in Daniel's schedule, or discounts or things we may personally be running for Daniel's clients. As well as letting you know if there's any big news over at the facility.

But, if you want to follow along on the journey for our new space, learn how it all happened/why, what's next, what to expect, the day to day there, will all be on our new account!

Warmup:
- 10 minutes on the stair master or cardio equivalent. (Depending on what you have access too)
• moderate pace •

Workout:
- 20 reps leg extension machine (as pictured)
• moderate weight, getting heavier as the rounds go on •

- 15 reps each leg steps ups no weight but higher on the height of step.
• need it to be more difficult? Hold weight in opposite hand or increase reps •

- 15 reps open trap bar deadlifts (or any type of deadlift)
• moderate weight, increasing weight each round•

- 20 reps floor squats on knees holding a dumbbell (keep core engaged the whole time)
• increase weight or reps each round•

Cardio/Warmup:
- Run 1.5 miles or cardio equivalent. (Should be higher intensity)

Workout:
1. leg extensions (25 reps)
Or quad dominant exercise equivalent. (Should be higher rep - moderate weight).
2. Lateral band walks and front and back band walks (20 to 25 steps for every direction - with heavier b***y band)
3. Off the bench bridges with dumbbell or Olympic bar (20 to 25 reps and should be heavy)

👉🏼REPEAT ALL EXERCISES FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 ROUNDS!
