Nancy Lieberman’s story is one of greatness, grit, and giving back. In this powerful tribute, we highlight her historic journey—from winning medals for Team USA in the 1970s, to becoming the first pick in the first women’s professional league, to competing against the men in the USBL.
Nancy’s résumé is unmatched: Olympic Games, World Championships, Pan-American gold, WBL stardom, coaching across every major league, and TV work with ESPN, Fox, the Thunder, and the Dallas Mavericks.
But what truly sets her apart is her heart. Through initiatives like the Dream Courts, she has impacted over 5 million children, creating safe spaces that bring communities together through sports. She is the recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Civil Rights Museum Award and will receive the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award in 2025.
This video includes her heartfelt words of gratitude, humor, and inspiration as she reflects on her journey, the growth of women’s sports, and the men and women who supported her along the way.
