Revenge is a prison where you're both the guard and the inmate; forever chained to the offense, replaying the hurt, nursing the wound.
Reconciliation doesn't minimize what was done or pretend it didn't hurt. It simply refuses to let someone else's worst moment define your future. It breaks the cycle. It sets you free while pointing them toward the same grace that freed you.
This Thanksgiving week, while we gather around tables with imperfect people, we're reminded: every seat represents someone who's been forgiven much. Including ours.
The same grace that reconciled you to God empowers you to reconcile with others. That's not weakness; that's the kind of strength that can only come from Him.
