I’m Dr. Alex Sheppard, one of the co-founders of Oasis Chiropractic & Wellness Center, and I’m thrilled to share my journey with you! For the past 20 years, I’ve had the awesome opportunity to help thousands of people feel fantastic and elevate their health game. At Oasis, we’re all about pain relief through chiropractic care, but we don’t stop there! We offer a treasure trove of additional services, including active rehab, weight loss programs, body contouring light therapy, and our latest gem: Nutrition Response Testing! Let me take you back to 2018. I received a postcard from Standard Process inviting me to a seminar on Nutrition Response Testing. Honestly, I had no clue what it was, but they were offering 8 free continuing education credits, and who could resist that? I thought, “Why not?”

That seminar was a total game-changer! I had a light bulb moment when the speaker showcased how NRT pinpoints weak areas in the body, identifies problems, and provides tailored solutions. In the past, I’d give nutrition advice without really knowing what my patients needed. Now, thanks to NRT, I can answer all those burning questions! Nutrition Response Testing has transformed my life and my family’s. For years, my wife battled headaches and neck pain, and while I did my best to adjust her, it was NRT that truly turned things around! She’s now feeling amazing, sleeping like a baby, and even back to exercising. As for me, I rarely get sick, have loads of energy, and enjoy fantastic sleep! Our kids are on NRT programs too, keeping them healthy and thriving! Lately, I’ve been diving deep into balancing hormones—both for men and women. Here’s something you might not know about me. What I’m about to share changed the course of my life. My wife and I have always been the “healthy couple.” We ate clean, exercised, stayed gluten-free, took supplements, and of course — kept up with our chiropractic adjustments. We thought we were doing everything right. Then life threw us a curveball.

My wife started developing neck and shoulder pain, had no energy, and some mornings she could barely get out of bed. Naturally, I adjusted her spine — it helped for a bit, but the improvements never lasted. We were stuck. Chiropractic had plateaued, and something deeper was clearly going on.

Free lunch? I was in.

That seminar ended up being one of the most important days of my life. I learned that there is a way to test the body and find out exactly which nutrients it needs — no guessing, no one-size-fits-all plans.

I went home, applied what I learned, and within weeks my wife’s energy returned. Her pain faded. Her spark came back. We had finally found the missing piece.

That experience completely changed how I practice.
