Soreness good or bad?

When we perform chiropractic manipulation, myofascial release, or targeted soft tissue therapy, we’re introducing controlled mechanical input to joints, muscles, and fascia.

That input changes joint mechanics.
It stimulates mechanoreceptors.
It improves motion and blood flow.

And sometimes — it creates mild post-treatment soreness.

Why?

Because restricted tissues that haven’t moved well in weeks or months are suddenly being asked to move.

Tone changes.
Load distribution shifts.

Your nervous system and connective tissue are adapting to a new normal.

That temporary tenderness (usually 24–48 hours) is often just your system recalibrating.

Totally normal 👇
• Mild, dull soreness
• Feels muscular
• Improves with light movement

stimulate change — and your body adapts.

Soreness isn’t the goal.
Better motion, better load tolerance, and better function is.

Work drama? We prefer soft tissue diplomacy🤣

All jokes aside we use manual therapy in different pressures to help desensitize tissue and improve movement patterns.

Test. Progress. Retest.

Rest when needed. Push when ready!

Measure first. Move with confidence.

Testing lets us personalize your return-to-play plan and protect long-term performance.

Do we need imaging before every chiropractic visit?

Short answer: No—and that’s intentional.

In chiropractic care, imaging (like X-rays or MRI) is a clinical tool, not a routine requirement. Most musculoskeletal pain responds extremely well to conservative care without imaging, and unnecessary scans add cost and radiation without changing treatment.

So when do we image?
We order imaging when it matters for your safety or changes how we treat you, including:
• Red flags (trauma, neurological deficits, suspected fracture, infection, cancer, or systemic disease)
• Failed conservative care (symptoms not improving as expected)
• Progressive or severe neurological symptoms
• Complex cases where imaging guides treatment decisions or referrals

Our goal is simple: use the right tool at the right time for the right patient.
Evidence-based, patient-first, no unnecessary tests—just smart care.

An adjustment isn’t the whole treatment—but it is the reset.

When we adjust you, we restore motion to joints that stopped moving correctly.

That sends a new signal to your nervous system so your brain can relearn how to move, stabilize, and heal.

That process takes time.
Muscles, ligaments, and joints have to adapt to new movement patterns.
Soreness doesn’t mean damage—it usually means your body is changing.

Consistency matters because your nervous system learns through repetition.
The more consistent the signal, the more feed back towards results.

This is why your care plan is timed—not random.

🌀 Your sacrum moves like a gyroscope.

While the pelvis tips one way, the sacrum subtly shifts the opposite — creating balance, stability, and fluid motion through the spine and hips. This counter-movement is key to understanding how your body absorbs force, transfers energy, and maintains efficient mechanics.

We dive into the intricacies of sacral movement and its relationship with the pelvis — exploring how this small (2-4 mm in relation to the ilium) but powerful interaction impacts everything from shock absorption to performance.
