HSAC: Human Services Advisory Council Our mission: To foster collaboration between human services agencies. The Human Services Advisory Council, Inc.

functions to bring pertinent local issues to the forefront of all community members. HSAC encourages cooperation and collaboration of organizations within the community and its active committees serve as a catalyst for education and change. The Human Services Advisory Council was established in 1977 with the mission of enhancing the quality of life in Pottawattamie County by encouraging the provision for the support of a full range of human services. These activities include informing the community of available and needed human services, developing community support, encouraging optimal utilization of resources, and providing a network of human service representatives.

We are having Events here most Tuesdays. We have had four events so far this year, three here at IowaWORKS, and one at the Atlantic Public Library. Every event so far has led to on-the-spot offers or invitations to second interviews.

This month we have:
First Student: 9am-11am, Tuesday, Feb 10. They hire bus drivers, van drivers, and bus monitors.
Fortrex: 9am-11am, Tuesday, Feb. 17. They clean the OSI plant in Oakland, and another local plant.
Council Bluffs Schools, 9am-11am, Tuesday, Feb. 24. Their recruiter for custodial work, nutrition jobs, and crossing guards will be here.

As we wrap up 2025, we just want to say thank you to our incredible HSAC members. Your participation, engagement, and support are what make this association so special. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

We’re excited for everything ahead and can’t wait to see what 2026 brings as we continue to grow, connect, and support one another.

A special thank you to Main Event Catering for providing the delicious food at our December Awards Lunch, and to Midwest Trophy for creating our beautiful HSAC awards—we appreciate your support in helping us celebrate our members in such a meaningful way.
