The Worry Hour

This simple but powerful idea has its roots in parenting practices commonly used in Finland — where worries are given time and space, instead of taking over the whole day.

Rather than responding to anxiety every time it pops up, the Worry Hour teaches children that worries are allowed… and that they can wait.
That one shift helps anxious brains learn safety, tolerance, and trust — without constant reassurance.

All Star Pediatrics remains committed to following evidence-based, scientifically-backed recommendations to best protect children, including our own, and our communities.

We will continue to follow the vaccination schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. This is the same as the previous federal/CDC schedule and what we’ve always followed.

Additionally, the Illinois Department of Health continues to support the science and recommends following the former CDC schedule. State vaccine requirements for daycare and school attendance remain unchanged and the insurance industry has assured coverage for all vaccines through the entirety of 2026.
