HB495 passed the Senate House and Welfare Committee today, and now it will move to the Senate floor! HB495 is a bill that allows nurse practitioners in the state of Louisiana to work towards full practice authority. 23 states already allow full practice authority for nurse practitioners! Also, 8 out 10 of the healthiest states have eliminated their collaborative practice agreements. This is about removing barriers and increasing access to care for patients, especially those in rural areas. If you have time, please reach out to your senator to show your support for HB495.
