Carolyn Blanche Huffman Sides, 89, of Brighton, passed away on Saturday, November 29 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm in Saturday, December 6 at the Brighton Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in Indian Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Patty Lynn Simmerman, of Covington, passed away on Friday, November 28th, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital at the age of 50. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Covington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Covington. Visitation for friends and family will begin two hours prior to the service in the chapel. Mr. Jimmy Butler will officiate, with Kaiden Woods, Terrell Tate, Roby Vandiver, II, Eric Grisham, Bruce McDivitt, and Michael Simmerman honored to serve as pallbearers.
