Barlow Funeral Home "Our Family Serving Your Family Since 1925" Barlow Funeral Home is one of the oldest businesses and the oldest black-owned business in Tipton County.

It was founded in an effort to provide the community quality service during times of bereavement. Initially established by Major Barlow in 1925 in Lauderdale County, Barlow Funeral Home has been located at its present address, 205 North Main Street Covington, TN since 1944. With the full support of their family and friends, Brittney Barlow-Becton and Shelia Barlow continue to lead the business in the tradition of excellence begun by their great-great uncle Major 96 years ago.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Luch Payne, who transitioned on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Luch was more than just a coworker — he was family. He deeply loved Christ, his wife, Carolyn, his children and grandchildren, his church, and his community. He lived each day in service to them.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and all who mourn his loss. May we find comfort in the love he shared and the light he brought into the world.
