🌈 Happy World Behavior Analysis Day! 🌈
Today we celebrate the science of behavior analysis on the birthday of B. F. Skinner, whose research helped us better understand how people learn and grow.
At Foothills Behavior Specialists, we see the impact of this science every day. Through evidence-based ABA therapy, we help children build communication, social, and life skills that support independence and confidence.
Every new skill learned, every breakthrough moment, and every step forward is something worth celebrating.
We are grateful for our incredible therapists, the families who trust us, and the amazing kids who inspire us every single day. 💙
Together, we’re helping children reach new heights.

🍀 Happy St. Paddy’s Day from Foothills Behavior Specialists! 🍀

Today is all about luck, laughter, rainbows, and tiny leprechaun footprints—and we’re here for every magical moment! Whether your day includes a scavenger hunt, green pancakes, or trying to catch a very speedy leprechaun, we hope your family finds some fun (and maybe a little mischief 😉).

For families of children with ASD, here are a few ways to make St. Paddy’s Day smoother and more meaningful:

✨ Keep traditions simple — A small activity (like finding one hidden shamrock) can bring just as much joy as a big event.
✨ Preview the day — Show pictures or talk through what to expect so the routine feels predictable.
✨ Focus on sensory-friendly fun — Green Play-Doh, water beads, or a themed craft are great low-pressure options.
✨ Celebrate strengths — Turning tasks into games can make the day exciting while practicing skills like waiting, asking for help, or following directions.

However your family celebrates today—🍀 wearing green, 🌈 looking for rainbows, or just enjoying time together—Foothills Behavior Specialists is wishing you a safe, joyful, and lucky day!

What St. Paddy’s Day tradition does your family love most?

🎮 ⭐ LEVEL UP! Happy Mar10 Day! ⭐ 🎮

Today we’re celebrating Mar10 Day — a fun day inspired by everyone’s favorite video game hero!

At Foothills Behavior Specialists, we see kids leveling up every day — learning new skills, building confidence, and overcoming challenges one step at a time.

Just like in a video game, progress happens through:
⭐ Practice
⭐ Support
⭐ Encouragement
⭐ Celebrating every win along the way

And we love cheering our clients on as they unlock new abilities and reach the next level! 🎉

What’s your favorite video game from childhood? 👾

🌞 It’s Time to Spring Forward! ⏰
Daylight Savings is here, which means we’re all losing an hour… and some kids may feel like they’re losing a whole morning. 😅

At Foothills Behavior Specialists, we know that even small routine changes can be tough for children with ASD. Here are a few ways to make the transition easier:

🌼 Shift bedtime gradually — Even 10–15 minutes earlier over a few nights can make a big difference.
🌼 Preview the new schedule — Visuals, first/then boards, or a quick conversation can reduce anxiety.
🌼 Use favorite calming strategies — Deep pressure, quiet time, or sensory tools can help regulate the transition.
🌼 Keep the morning simple — Reduce demands and allow extra time to adjust.

Daylight Savings might throw off the routine for a bit, but your kids' resilience is incredible—and you’re doing an amazing job helping them through these changes. 💚🌞

Let us know: How does your family prepare for the time change?

Families shouldn’t have to wait 1–3 years for an autism diagnosis. At Foothills Behavior Specialists, we partner with trusted physicians who can streamline the diagnostic process—often reducing wait times to just a few weeks. Early answers mean earlier support. 💙

We also want to thank Regan and her husband, Isaac, for delivering the toys to Santa's Castle - Washington yesterday. 🧡 Happy Thanksgiving from Foothills Behavior! 🧡

The holidays can be exciting, unpredictable, and sometimes overwhelming for our kids — especially when routines change and new sensory experiences fill the day. To help families feel supported, we put together a few ABA-informed Thanksgiving tips focused on building predictability, easing transitions, and creating a calm, successful holiday for everyone.

Each strategy on this flyer is rooted in evidence-based practices we use every day at Foothills Behavior to help children feel more comfortable, confident, and connected during busy family gatherings.

✨ Our goal: reduce stress, encourage communication, and help your child enjoy the day in a way that feels right for them.

We are grateful for the incredible families we serve and the trust you place in our team.
Wishing you a peaceful, joyful, and sensory-friendly Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃
