IMPORTANT CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT:
Dear beloved Medicos of Tipton Patients,
It is with great sadness that we announce that, due to personal and family-related events, Dr. Michelini will be leaving at the end of the year to be closer to family. We are grateful for all the work he has done to grow the clinic and serve the community of Tipton County and beyond, but understand that family should always come first.

Please be assured that services will not be disrupted as several physicians from the Camellia Foundation's Memphis Office will help to cover in the short term. These physicians also practice the broad scope of medicine that Dr. Michelini offered and will continue to provide the best quality services that our patients have come to expect. Eventually we hope to have a primary single physician for the office.

Please also be aware that due to this transition we will stop offering services on Saturdays during December and January.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience through this time with us.

CLINIC ANNOUNCEMENT:
In recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday, Medicos of Tipton will be closed on 11/28 through the weekend and reopen on Monday 12/2. Additionally, due to some personal events and schedule changes we will no longer be open on Saturdays starting in December. We may be able to return Saturday services in the future, but this date is pending. Thank you for your understanding.

Procedure of the week:
Middle aged woman presented with lateral leg pain worsening for the past several weeks that was no longer amenable to oral medications. Upon examination it was evident she suffered from IT band syndrome and bursitis of the greater trochanter of the femur. She received an injection of an anesthetic and steroid at the bursa, which improved pain immediately.

Procedure of the week:
A middle-aged male presented with acute R eye pain following a day of working metal cutting and welding. The eye was significantly inflamed and concerning for foreign object pe*******on. The images show Dr. Michelini and MA Ana Flavia looking at the affected eye with a magnifier and florescence to identify the foreign object and search for any corneal or global abrasions/lacerations. Luckily, after thorough irrigation of the eye there were no embedded fragments, but there was a corneal abrasion requiring eye drops. This was a great opportunity to teach fluoroscein examination to the MA.

Procedure of the week:
A man in his 60s with uncontrolled diabetes presented to the clinic for the first time and was found to have diabetic ulcers on the soles of his feet and thick callusing in areas of pressure. Dr. Michelini was able to clean his feet, shave the calluses, trim nails, and perform debridement of the ulcers to improve healing.

The team had a great time at the Baby & Family Expo on Wednesday. We learned about wonderful community programs available for expecting mothers and families. We can't wait to utilize these services to better assist our patients!

Clinic Announcement:
We now have a shelf of free medical supplies available to the public. These are samples and extra supplies the clinic accumulates over time or donations made by patients no longer needing their supplies. Feel free to take what you need. We currently have oxygen tubing, wound dressings, baby formula, baby shampoo, adult diapers, and more. Please feel free to donate any supplies and we'll put them out for the public.
