💬 Q&A Time
1️⃣ What inspired you to pursue a career in pharmacy, and what do you enjoy most about your role?
I started as a part-time store manager at a pharmacy. When the pharmacy was understaffed, I would go back and help. I preferred the fast pace of the pharmacy over the front and enjoyed helping the patients. Getting to know the patients and being able to help them is what I like most about my job.
2️⃣ What’s one thing you wish more people knew about the work pharmacists do?
Pharmacy technicians juggle a lot at once – answering phones, assisting customers, working with insurance companies and supporting the pharmacist – all while trying to give each patient the attention they deserve. A little patience and kindness go a long way, and we truly appreciate it.
3️⃣ How do you stay motivated or centered during busy days in the pharmacy?
Being able to rely on my team, jump in to help each other and communicate well makes a huge difference when the workload piles up. Teamwork makes the dream work!
4️⃣ What’s a fun fact about you or a hobby you enjoy outside of work that might surprise people?
I love anything true crime related. When I’m not solving mysteries, I’m spending time with my family. Between my significant other and I we have five children so there is always something interesting going on!
5️⃣ What do you enjoy most about serving our community, and how does your work in the pharmacy help make a difference?
I enjoy serving my community because I can combine helping others, working with a team, and making a real difference in people’s health and well-being every day. Working in the pharmacy makes a difference because we’re often one of the most accessible parts of healthcare, and I get to help support people when they need it most.
