We set out to find answers in this most recent episode of “Northshore Healthbeat,” the official podcast of St. Tammany Health System.

Released in recognition of April as World Autism Acceptance Month, this episode centers on insights from two experts in the field: Amy Wade, the director of pre-op and post-op at the St. Tammany Health System Surgery Center (which is one of the health system’s newest facilities to be designated a Certified Autism Center) and Sunny McDaniel, a local Autism advocate and a member of the St. Tammany Health Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

St. Tammany Health System joined the LOPA - Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency to honor National Donate Life Month with a heartfelt ceremony recognizing organ donors and the lives they’ve saved.

Inside St. Tammany Parish Hospital, families, caregivers and recipients gathered in gratitude. Outside, butterflies took flight—symbolizing the lasting impact of life’s most generous gift.

Cassie Thibodaux, STHS Occupational Therapist specializing in hand therapy, stopped by Lake 94.7 and Highway 104.7 this morning to talk about Occupational Therapy Month and the work she does out of Dr. Grayson Terral’s office in Mandeville. 🤚

At the STPN Mandeville clinic, Dr. Terral addresses ailments from the fingertips to the elbows, including vascular, nerve, tendon, muscle, bone and joint issues. The clinic includes in-office imaging capabilities, including X-ray and ultrasound, as well as on-site certified hand therapists specializing in hand injuries.
