Meet our McComb Providers:
Frances Charles “Charly” Schmidt, FNP-C
Charly is a native of McComb, Mississippi. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Charly worked as a registered nurse at Vanderbilt Medical Center in
the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit for three years. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama at
Birmingham and holds national certification as a family nurse practitioner with the American
Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Charly joined McComb Skin Clinic in 2022 and has reccived advanced training in both medical
dermatology and cosmetic procedures. Her medical dermatology training includes diagnosing
and treating a wide range of skin conditions and skin cancers, while her cosmetic training
includes injectable fillers, neuromodulators, microneedling, chemical peels, and the use of
cosmeceutical products and procedures available at McComb Skin and Aesthetics. 💉
She married James Michael Schmidt in November 2021, and they welcomed their son, Miller, in
July 2024. Charly is also a proud dog mom to her golden retriever fur babies. 🐶 She is excited to
continue her career with McComb Skin and Aesthetics, where her interests include both medical
and cosmetic dermatology.

✨Meet the Soine Dermatology McComb Providers!
✨Introducing: Heather Newlon M.D., FAAD!
Dr. Newlon received her BS from the University of Memphis where she was a team captain
and a 4-year starter for the Lady Tiger basketball team. She received her MD from the
University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Upon graduation as the valedictorian of her
class in medical school, Dr. Newlon received her promotion to Captain in the United States Army and completed her dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 2010, she was deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan, where she served as the lone dermatologist. Dr. Newlon resigned from military service with the rank of Major and returned to her hometown of McComb in July 2013. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and her greatest interest is medical dermatology. Dr Newlon, we are so glad to add you to our Soine family!!

We’re so very thankful for our new office opening in McComb,MS! We’ve been so very lucky to be able to expand our practice to more people! And finally we are so grateful for you!
