Covington Yoga WELCOME TO COVINGTON YOGA! Classes at Covington Yoga

We offer a wide array of classes that encompass a range of yoga philosophies and styles.

Covington Yoga and Wellness Studio was created to bring the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga practice to people of all experience levels. Whether you are trying to ease physical distress, gain peace of mind, or work on strengthening your body, you can a find a class that will meet your needs

Please take a look at our class descriptions to find the practice that will be a fit for you and your experience level. Don’t worry if you are unfamiliar with some the yoga styles or experience level categories, as we have included descriptions of those as well. Also, we've put together a few guidelines that will help make your yoga practice the most fulfilling experience possible. Guidelines for Practice
~Do not eat 2 hours before class
Yoga practice is most optimal on an empty stomach, but if you need to eat before class snack on something light, like fresh fruit.

~Arrive to class five minutes early
Please sign-in and put your belongings in the shelves in the waiting room. If you are running late, wait until the meditation and breathing exercise have been completed. If you’re running more that 15 minutes late, it’s best just to skip class.

~Bring your own mat and towel
We do have a limited number of mats available, but it’s best to bring your own if you have one. We also have blocks, straps, and blankets for your use.

~Inform of us of any injuries or health concerns
Postures can be modified to accommodate most physical concerns. Since it is contrary to yoga practice to cause yourself pain, let us know what we can do to make you as comfortable as necessary.

~Please turn off your cell phone
~Wear comfortable clothing, preferably layers that can be removed or added as necessary
~Avoid heavy perfumes
~Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated

Happy November yoga peeps! The year is going to fly by now! With Thanksgiving around the corner the rest of the year seems to evaporate.
But we know how to keep our cool because we have our yoga tools!!
This week you don’t need to sign up but I do appreciate knowing roughly numbers as we transition the system. 🙏❤️❤️

Hello yoga peeps! It’s finally a rainy Autumn day in October 🤣🤣. Hopefully you enjoyed a luscious day of hunkering down and contemplating. Autumn is when we begin to turn inwards for the introspection and rest of winter.

Omg 😱 it’s the middle of October!!?? For real?? It is starting to get the autumn feel but the leaves are still firmly in place!
We sold all the happy eggs last week so that was exciting! I do so like to support healthy animal husbandry…. Or wifery…. I mean really!

Announcement: I have brought back the farm eggs on a trial basis so let me know if you would like to take a dozen home!
Would anyone prefer yin on Sunday evening rather than Monday evening?

Omg 😱…. It’s October!!! Our practices are growing stronger as we take on new personal challenges this Autumn. Pulling our awareness inwards with breath and meditation. Staying present with the transition from hot to cold and appreciating each cycle for the gifts it brings to us.

***Please don’t leave signing up to the last minute as both teachers and your fellow students appreciate being able to make other plans if class is not happening. I will always text those signed up if class is canceled ***

Hope you had a great weekend! The full moon is past and all the crazy activity it brought with it so now we can take a few deep breaths and dive into our breath and some quietude. Take a moment each day this week and hold gratitude in our thoughts and hearts.

Happy Sunday yoga peeps! What a gorgeous week of weather and we get another one!! Amazing❤️❤️

Routines are settling down so make sure you cement your yoga time in before life gets “too busy”. Feed and nourish your body and souls with a good solid practice with friends and joy.

Also if you have, or know a cat, with a thyroid problem I have a bag of food for it
