Last week, Dr. Striplin, STHS ambulatory OB/GYN, stopped by Lake 94.7 and Highway 104.7 to talk about Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and the importance of prevention. Over 13,000 women in the U.S. are diagnosed each year, but the good news? It’s mostly preventable.

Dr. Striplin shared how HPV causes almost all cervical cancer cases and the best way to protect yourself is by getting the HPV vaccine (ages 9–45) and starting routine screenings (Pap/HPV tests) at age 21.

Due to the upcoming Krewe of Eve parade, access to St. Tammany Physicians Network – Mandeville and the Mandeville Diagnostic Center will be blocked all day as the Krewe lines up on St. Joseph Street. Please approach the facility by turning on St. Ann off 190 by the Post Office or off Elmwood Place adjacent to the Causeway.

📅 Date: Friday, Feb. 6
⏳ Expect road closures. St Joseph Street will be closed all day.
