Lakeview Hospital was proud to welcome the Leadership St. Tammany of 2026 and share an overview of our hospital services, advanced capabilities, and commitment to caring for the Northshore community. It was a pleasure to connect with emerging community leaders and showcase how our teams work together every day to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

A special thank you to our Trauma Program, Emergency Services, Surgical Services, Imaging, Heart & Vascular Care, and Education teams for bringing this experience to life—particularly through hands-on CPR education and handwashing activities that highlighted the importance of safety, prevention, and preparedness in healthcare.

Today, January 11, is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Human trafficking can happen in any community, and awareness is one of the strongest tools we have to protect vulnerable individuals.

🚨 Common signs someone may be experiencing trafficking include:

Appearing fearful, anxious, or unusually submissive

Avoiding eye contact or seeming coached when speaking

Someone else insisting on speaking on their behalf

Signs of physical abuse, exhaustion, or poor hygiene

Little or no control over money, ID, or personal belongings

Working excessively long hours with no breaks or time off

Not knowing their location or having restricted movement

Being isolated from friends, family, or support systems

If something feels off, trust your instincts. Reporting concerns to local authorities or the National Human Trafficking Hotline 888.373.7888) can help save a life.

✨ Awareness is the first step toward prevention.
