Fireplace season is cozy and comforting, but safety always comes first. 🔥🏠
Here are a few important reminders to keep your home and family safe:
• Use care with “fire salts,” which create colored flames in wood fires. 🌈🔥 They contain heavy metals that can cause severe gastrointestinal irritation and vomiting if ingested. Keep them out of reach of children. 🚫🧒
• Never burn wrapping paper in the fireplace. 🎁❌ Wrapping materials can ignite suddenly and burn intensely, creating a dangerous flash fire.
Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the season with peace of mind. ❤️✨

As temperatures drop and heaters come on, carbon monoxide poisoning becomes a very real danger. Carbon monoxide is odorless and colorless, so you may not know it is there. ⚠️🔥
Make sure you have a working carbon monoxide monitor in your home to help keep your family safe. 🏠💙
Common symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include:
• dull headache 🤕
• weakness 😣
• nausea 🤢
• vomiting 🤮
• confusion 😵‍💫
• dizziness 🎢
• difficulty sleeping 😴
If you suspect carbon monoxide poisoning, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. 🚑❗
Stay safe and stay warm, Northshore. 💙

Welcome Alle Norris, FNP, Primary Care

Alle Norris became a nurse because the medical field fascinated her—especially the complexity of the human body and the opportunity to help people during some of their most vulnerable moments. After gaining experience in the hospital setting, she chose to become a primary care nurse practitioner so she could build long-lasting relationships with patients and focus on preventing the need for acute care.

Patients can count on Alle to provide extraordinary care because she doesn’t see people as “just patients.” She sees them as family and friends. One of the greatest compliments she receives is patient referrals, which reflect the trust patients place in her to care for the people they love most.

Education
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Southeastern Louisiana University
• Master of Science in Nursing, Southeastern Louisiana University

Board Certification
• American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification

Christmas Tree Safety Tips 🎄✨
• Choosing artificial? Look for a “Fire Resistant” label.
• Choosing live? Pick a fresh, green tree with firm needles and a sticky trunk.
• At home, keep your tree away from fireplaces and heaters, place it out of walkways, and keep the stand filled with water. 💧🔥
Enjoy a safe and festive holiday season. 💙

Holiday lights make the season bright, but safety matters. ✨🎄
• Use only safety-tested lights with fused plugs.
• Check for broken sockets, frayed wires, or loose connections and replace damaged sets. 🔌
• Use extension cords correctly and no more than three light sets per cord.
• Make sure outdoor lights are rated for outdoor use and fasten them securely. 🌟
• Always unplug lights before bed or when leaving home.
• Keep lights away from power lines and remove them carefully.
• For outdoor displays, use GFCI-protected outlets or hire a professional.
Shine safely this season. 💙
