Although this page is no longer officially part of TCAT Northwest, we will still continue showcasing the success, hard work, and great things happening with the TCAT Northwest Dental Assisting students.

🦷✂️ Our dental assisting students had a fun hands-on learning day practicing suturing on chicken to better understand suture placement and strengthen their suture removal skills. While dental assistants in Tennessee may remove sutures under supervision, placing sutures on patients is not within their allowed duties. Instructor Teresa Cantrell gave students this classroom practice opportunity to help build confidence, skill, and understanding in a safe learning environment. We are proud to give our students meaningful experiences that help prepare them for success in the dental field! 👏📚💙
