On Thursday, the dental assisting students explored the various options of personal protective equipment (PPE) used in the dental office. They learned about the different types of masks, protective eyewear, and gloves—including their specific purposes and proper usage. In addition, the students practiced donning and removing protective gowns correctly. The lesson also covered the different types of barriers used to prevent cross-contamination, as well as the chemicals utilized for cleaning suction lines and for chemical sterilization.🦷🧤😷🥽
