Join us this fall in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains for Bhakti Bliss—a four-day soul-nourishing retreat devoted to music, mantra, storytelling, gentle yoga, and heartfelt community. Held amidst the vibrant autumn colors of Asheville, NC, this special gathering invites you to drop into your heart, reconnect with your inner light, and celebrate the healing power of bhakti—the yogic path of love and devotion.

This year’s retreat is especially meaningful as it marks our 20th anniversary as a band, a milestone born from the wreckage of Hurricane Katrina and transformed into an unexpected journey of resilience, creativity, and devotion.

We’ll also honor two special souls who have shaped our lives:

Gwendolyn Colman, our beloved friend and bandmate who tragically passed away in June, and David Newman, our dear friend and Bhakti Bliss co-founder, whose music and presence continue to inspire. This weekend is a living tribute to their legacies—an offering of love, remembrance, and celebration.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll be gently guided through practices that awaken the heart and uplift the spirit:

A few years ago I taught Yoga for String Players at the American Strjng Teacher Association national conference in Salt Lake Coty. It was a 50- member class, two giant ballrooms full of grateful bodies then 100 legs up the wall. Can’t believe I didn’t take pictures!

A week later ‘Strings’ magazine called me wanting to know more about how I came to share my yoga teaching with string players, and the article was published in the December issue that year with Jennifer Koh on the cover... it showed up again in a post online the other day.
