Stay warm this weekend Coweta.

Important Update from the Wagoner County Emergency Management :

Wagoner County Emergency Management is partnering with CrossPoint Baptist Church in Coweta to open a warming shelter beginning Friday, 01/23/2026, at 6:00 p.m. and remain open through the weekend.

Located at 28288 E. 141st Street in Coweta, OK, the church will be available and open if needed. Pastor Brett Wheeler said he feels God has provided such a great building for the needs of the community and wanted to step up again to provide a safe, warm location for those in Wagoner County who might not have adequate heating during this cold weather event.

Church volunteers will staff the shelter along with WCEM volunteers. The shelter will provide warm meals, cots with blankets, showers, and a place for comfort in the severe cold weather. Pastor Brett said the shelter will implement guidelines for those choosing to stay, and everyone will review the guidelines upon check-in.

The shelter will have men and women volunteers on-site and will only allow one individual in the bathroom at a time. There will be no Wi-Fi available, and the shelter will be patrolled by WCEM staff and the Coweta Police Department on a regular basis.

Meals will be distributed during regular mealtimes and there will be a “lights out” policy in place. “We want our guests to feel the love and warmth of their community and the church during this severe cold weather,” said Pastor Brett. 🌿Now Accepting New Clients-Meet Eileen, LCSW🌿

We’re excited to share that Eileen, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, is currently accepting new clients for virtual therapy.
Eileen works with children, teens, adults, and families, and offers appointments Monday–Friday from 10am–7pm, with Saturday sessions available upon request.

Her clinical experience includes:
Anxiety and depression
ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder
Personality disorders
Trauma and stress-related concerns

Eileen provides individual and family therapy and always uses a trauma-informed, collaborative approach. She is trained in CBT and DBT, and in TF-CBT, a specialized model for children ages 6–17 that includes caregiver involvement.
She also brings extensive experience working with individuals and families involved in the child welfare system and the juvenile and adult criminal justice systems.

Above all, Eileen is known for being kind, compassionate, and client-centered. She meets clients and families where they are and works collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that supports healing, growth, and living the best life possible.

We’re excited to share that our therapist, Kamber, is now welcoming new clients for both in-person sessions at our Coweta office and convenient telehealth appointments.

Kamber is friendly, personable, and deeply passionate about supporting you and your mental health. She brings a caring, down-to-earth presence to every session and is committed to helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Highly self-motivated and dedicated to her work, she provides therapy for clients ages 15 and up.

She currently accepts Medicaid/Soonercare, Medicare, United Healthcare/Optum, HealthChoice, and will soon be contracted with additional commercial insurance plans.
Kamber is trained in EMDR and offers support with:
