๐Ÿ’™ There Is More Than One Path to Recovery

Recovery from substance use disorder looks different for everyone. For some people, one effective path includes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

MAT combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and support to help restore brain chemistry, reduce cravings, and stabilize the body. This stability can give people the space they need to heal, rebuild routines, and focus on recovery.

Thereโ€™s a lot of misinformation about MAT. Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s important to rely on evidence-based information and medical experts โ€” not rumors or stigma. MAT is a proven treatment option that has helped many people stay engaged in recovery and reduce the risk of overdose.

If youโ€™re exploring treatment options for yourself or someone you care about, understanding the facts matters.

๐Ÿ”— Learn more about MAT and evidence-based treatment options from SAMHSA:

Recovery has many paths. Support, science, and accurate information can make all the difference.

๐Ÿ’› Free Su***de Prevention Training for Our Community

Reaching Everyone Preventing Su***de is hosting a free, two-day training open to anyone in the community on March 1โ€“2, from 9:00 a.m.โ€“5:00 p.m., at the Craig VFW Office (419 E. Victory Way).

This training uses LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training), an in-depth, evidence-based approach that teaches participants how to recognize when someone may be at risk of su***de and how to offer immediate, compassionate, and effective support.

๐Ÿ’™ MAT Services in Our Community: Northwest Colorado Health

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) can be an important option for people seeking support in recovery. Northwest Colorado Health offers MAT through its Craig office, integrating treatment into primary care to help individuals access support close to home.

By offering MAT within a community health setting, patients can receive medically supported care alongside ongoing health services โ€” helping reduce barriers and support long-term recovery goals.

Knowing where MAT services are available empowers people to make informed decisions about care. If you or someone you care about is exploring options, this may be a helpful place to start.

โ„๏ธ Mid-Winter Check-In

For many people, the shorter day and cold weather of winter can take a toll on mental well-being and recovery. Seasonal depression, isolation, and added stress can make it harder to stay connected and supported โ€” especially for those navigating recovery.

If this season is feeling heavier than expected, youโ€™re not alone. Reaching out, staying connected, and using available resources can help support both mental health and recovery through the winter months.

Support is available when you need it.
