We are pleased to welcome Brian Hanyok, M.D., to our team of Abdominal Imaging Specialists. Dr. Hanyok attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, for his undergraduate studies; followed by New York Medical College, NY, where he received his medical degree. He completed an Internship, followed by a Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at George Washington University, DC. He then attended a Fellowship in Abdominal Radiology at University of Pennsylvania, PA. Dr. Hanyok is certified by the American Board of Radiology.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Hanyok join University Radiology.

Congratulations to Dr. Pavan Khurana! 🎉

University Radiology Group is proud of our very own Pavan Khurana, MD, Interventional Radiologist with URG and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, on being named Physician of the Third Quarter at RWJUH Somerset. Dr. Khuana is shown on the right, accepting the award at RWJUH - Somerset.

Known for his warm, approachable nature and unwavering commitment to his patients, he routinely goes above and beyond—especially when facing complex or high-risk procedures. One remarkable example: Dr. Khurana spent hours meticulously treating a patient with difficult-to-access bilateral ureteral stones, ultimately succeeding in internalizing the nephrostomy tubes. We’re proud to welcome Kumar Shah, M.D. to our team of subspecialized radiologists.

Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University, PA and his medical degree from Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ. He completed his Internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, PA. He then attended his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ. Dr. Shah completed a Fellowship with combined training in Interventional Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY and in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weil Cornell Medical Center, NY.
