The Mars Hill Cemetery Association, Inc. will be taking bids on the following projects:
1. Cemetery Mowing Services
Mowing every two weeks from March 1 through September 15, with weekly mowing for two weeks prior to Memorial Day and the week of Memorial Day. Services must include weed-eating between and around headstones. This bid is for 3 years.
2. Construction of Welded Pipe Fence
Installation of approximately 142 feet of welded pipe fence across the southern end of the roadway, matching the existing pipe fence at the front of the parking lot. There will be an opening for a 20 foot gate. Bids should include pricing with and without the cost of materials.
Interested parties may submit bids until 02/15/2026 and must have general liability insurance. All bids will be reviewed by the board.

The Mars Hill Cemetery Association, Inc. announces that elections for open board member positions will be held during the annual meeting on March 7, 2026 at 3:00PM. The meeting will be held at the Reavisville Baptist Church Family Life Center. The Chili Supper and Auction will follow at 5:00PM.
All community members are welcome to attend.

I think Mars Hill looks very nice. The American flags, flowers and decorations to remember our Veterans, families and friends are beautiful.
A special thank you to Jerry Reavis and family. They always make sure American flags are placed at every Veterans grave to honor them.
Thank you for the donations. They help with cemetery upkeep.
This is a reminder that flowers and decorations must be removed by Monday June 2nd. Flowers attached to the headstones and shepherds hooks next to the headstones may be left. All other flowers and decorations must be removed. Thank you!

Tomorrow we are going to start our spring cleanup. We plan to start around 5:30. I know this is late notice but we would appreciate help.

It's spring cleanup time at Mars Hill. We will be throwing away faded flowers and anything that will interfere with mowing. If you have anything you want saved remove them in the next day or two.
The board has several projects in the works. The first is to replace the refrigerator that is not cooling properly. There are also plans to tear out the bushes in front of the building and replant new ones, add gravel to the parking lot, work on the roads thru the cemetery, plant more trees and paint the front fence damaged by storms. This is all possible thanks to our community support. Thank you for your support.

It was wonderful to see everyone last night at the
Reavisville First Baptist Church for the Mars Hill fundraiser. We appreciate the church allowing us to use their building. The night was so special. We honored some of our longtime supporters-Jerry & Vida Jewell Reavis and O.D. & Pam Cope.

Chili, beans and cornbread start serving at 5:00. I’m hearing rumors that we are going to have some of the world famous “Dairy Lane” coney sauce also!!
Auction to start around 6:00.
