I don't know if you have seen Schitt's Creek scene were David is talking about write-offs for taxes he has or how they work, AND that's what I tell my accountant when it's Christmas and I want to share something the people with whom I do business.
This year people got a dealer chip/trump sign (like for euchre). Everyone also got six dice to play any dice game they know. I like 10,000 (https://bcsth.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/dice-game.pdf) or Ship, Captain, Crew (its better with side games....).
In sessions, we will play games to build rapport, practice coping skills, communicate needs, identify what is within our control, build confidence and so much more. The cool thing is these skills are pretty generalizable skills. Some games teach us to trust a partner, take risks, and basic math skills.
In my family, we play games to create bonding and inside jokes. We pass time and solve the world's problems. In my family, we faced challenges while playing. This is why I encourage people who need support to come sit at the table.
