The great ''33'' got whittled down to about 23 - - - and now stands at about 11 with 4-5 under 'reasonable' consideration. Baby steeps.....

Greetings SRI fans. Unfortunately little has changed and there still is no product or service so I remain a business in name only. What's more with the election of a majority of Democrats and Gavin Newsome there remains a hostile small business environment in California.
I appreciate and would sincerely like to know who is consistently viewing and 'liking' my page so I know who to thank directly.
Recently there has been some interes among some of my fellow mycophiles about fungi cultivation so stay tuned.
I am still a firm believer that what this area needs and the nation would be healthier with is more small business. Thank you for your support.
Oh, and Happy New year !

2017 is in the wind and an update to the SRI page is in order. After a exploritory business venture this past summer several lessons were learned. Learning the hands on mechanics of growing a successful crop with the help of a partner was invaluable although the partnership didn't survive.
Understanding local market forces also placed intense perspective on future mushroom endeavors. Kit production is still a viable approach.
To this end in early April I started the Del Norte Mushroom Club page. Membership was slow in growing until a feature article about local mushrooms in the Triplicate shed a light on yours truly and the page. As of this writting there are SEVENTY-ONE members. And, we have already had a successful meeting at the Open Door Clinic conference room.
While a "December" meeting is being scheduled for 18 December there at 2 PM I recently discovered the Fairgrounds is accessable and provides a potluck friendly environment.
Kit building took place last meeting of the Wild Rivers Mushroom Club. The 1 Gal. buckets should produce a few excellent flushes. I may attempt to squeeze a kit building into the club before the end of the season (April).

In other entrepreneurial explorations several areas are starting to expose potential although experience has proven to be cautious about announcing them prior to due dilligence.
Happy Holidays to one and all.
Be safe. Live Long and Prosper.
Namaste

Never give up on spores. They even live in space ! After a long hibernation, thanks to Transitions Del Norte Smith River Industries looks like it's going to 'spawn' the Del Norte Mushroom Club ! Will see if the 'Gmail' address still works, maybe start a DNMC page and those interested can start scheduling meetings now that it's been discovered, with permission, the Open Door Clinic Community room can be used for meetings.

Fall has arrived. Rain is just around the corner as the temperatures are dropping. Logs that were plugged last Winter could be producing soon.
Other options are in the wings with a possible prospect of a future 'store front' in late spring. The winds of change are blowing and the future is a heartbeat away. B-Safe.
