This year marked the first time all 50 states took part in — and Pennsylvania’s strong turnout shows the dedication of local organizations, volunteers, and public health partners working to prevent overdose deaths every day.

Across the Commonwealth, more than 100 sites hosted naloxone distribution events — many supplied with doses funded through our Overdose Prevention Program.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health also supported the effort by designating six State Health Centers as official distribution points. Naloxone available through State Health Centers — and from year-round local partners — is also funded and supplied through our program.

🚑💙 Save a Life Day is coming to Blair County! 💙🚑

🕙 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

For the first time ever, Blair County is hosting Save a Life Day, a community event where attendees can receive free Narcan and learn how to help save a life.

🧠 How does Narcan save lives?
Narcan (naloxone) is a safe, easy-to-use medication that reverses opioid overdoses, including those caused by fentanyl. It's harmless if used on someone not overdosing — making it a safe tool for everyone to carry. 💉
