The clock is ticking and the pressure is building as Christmas Day approaches.
Joy and excitement is in the air and the kids are feeling restless as their elves are in new places each morning and Santa is preparing for his arrival.
The family get-togethers are developing and the days full of travel are scheduled.
Cookies are being baked, last minute groceries are being bought for Christmas dinner.
People are feeling full, warm, and loved.
Despite the infinite joy in the air for some, there are others who are dreading the day.
They’re feeling lonely.
The house is empty.
The lights are dim, inside and out.
They have no plans, they have no houses to visit or presents to open/share.
It’s not Christmas Day, it’s just another day on the calendar to get through; another reminder of what their life is lacking, sometimes out of their control.
This time of the year is meant to come together as humans and communities, not just families.
I encourage you to do something nice each and every day of the year.
We need more kindness in the world, we need more unity.
However you celebrate this time of the year, don’t forget to stop and just ✨b e✨.
Inhale…….Exhale. 🌿
