W-sits everywhere? Constant slouch? Quick to tire, handwriting hell, focus MIA? Primitive reflexes like ATNR, STNR, and MORO didn't fade—they're sabotaging posture, coordination, and calm.

Kids battle themselves daily. OT integration flips it: Targeted moves mature the brain-body link. Effortless sitting, writing, attention = reality!

Stronger focus starts here. Call (815) 782-4196 or email office@mytherapywellness.com to schedule your child’s evaluation.

Did you know your baby’s tongue should rest against the palate, not low in the mouth? This supports nasal breathing, proper palate development, and future speech. Open-mouth posture, noisy breathing, or trouble sealing on the breast or bottle are signs worth noticing. Small changes make big differences. Tap to follow and check the tools in our profile.

One of the most inspiring speakers at this conference was Linda D’Onofrio. Seeing an SLP boldly push boundaries and stand firm in what she believes in truly fired me up. It’s a reminder to keep learning, keep growing, and keep advocating for what matters.

Stay bold. Keep pushing forward.

Did you know most feeding challenges don’t just fix themselves with time?

Clicking sounds, milk leaking, choking or coughing during feeds, extreme fatigue, or very slow, drawn-out feedings are often signs of an oral motor skill your baby still needs help developing.

The good news? Early support can make feeding safer, more efficient, and far more comfortable for both you and your baby. Small adjustments truly can create big changes.

Have questions about your baby’s feeding? Don’t wait and wonder. DM us with your questions or 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟴𝟭𝟱-𝟳𝟴𝟮-𝟰𝟭𝟵𝟲 to schedule support and get personalized guidance for you and your baby. Early help makes all the difference.

Core Value Recognition time 🎉

At Advanced Therapy & Wellness Center, we don’t just talk about values, we run the clinic on them:

💙Inspirational
🧡Disciplined
💙Accountable
🧡Transparent
💙Aligned
🧡Results oriented

This month’s core value was Transparency, and we’re celebrating the families who model honesty, clear communication, and trust in action.

February’s winner is Erica 🙌 She’s receiving a gift card plus a certificate of recognition for living out Transparency in a way our team felt and noticed.

Stop by our hallway display and read all six core values we live by every day. Then keep your eyes open for next month’s core value spotlight…because we’ll be drawing another winner next month 👀🏆

Did you know your pelvic floor is doing more than you think? During pregnancy, these muscles are your body’s hidden support system, keeping you and your baby safe, stable, and comfortable.
Here’s how your pelvic floor helps every day:
1. Supports your growing baby: Holds your uterus, bladder, and bowels, reducing abdominal pressure.
2. Stabilizes your core: Works with abs and back muscles to maintain posture, reduce lower back pain, and support daily movement.
3. Prepares for labor: Helps your abdomen expand safely and guides your baby into the best position for delivery.
4. Reduces discomfort: Supports your belly, eases hip and back strain, and makes moving comfortably easier.

𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: A strong, flexible pelvic floor = better support, posture, and overall comfort throughout pregnancy.

Take care of your pelvic floor, mama! Gentle exercises, posture awareness, and professional guidance can keep you strong and comfortable. Learn more or book a consultation today!

Sleep deprivation in children hijacks behaviour.

Instead of yawns, you see hyperactivity.
Fidgeting, defiance, tantrums, meltdowns—they are red flags, not just “bad behaviour.”

Fix the sleep, and the child can finally regulate, focus, and thrive.

One moment that stood out to me at the conference was watching Dr. Zaghi get emotional after the applause. A leader in our field, yet still deeply moved by appreciation and by speaking about his mentor. It was a reminder that no matter how accomplished we become, humility and gratitude are what truly define us.

Never underestimate the power of showing appreciation.

Did you know your baby can be gaining weight and still struggle with feeding? Signs like clicking sounds, losing suction, shallow latch, long tiring feeds, pulling off, falling asleep quickly, leaking milk, or ongoing ni**le pain can mean feeding isn’t working as smoothly as it should.

DM us with your questions or 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟴𝟭𝟱-𝟳𝟴𝟮-𝟰𝟭𝟵𝟲.

One of my favorite workshops in Switzerland reminded me that to truly help our patients, we must first do our own healing. When we slow down, regulate our nervous system, and listen to our bodies, everything changes.

Pause today and check in with yourself. What do you need?
