A proud native of Creston, Iowa, Kelly brings along plenty of life experience, including years of hard work cleaning offices. One fun fact that always gets a smile—Kelly has seen Loretta Morgan live eight times! 🎶🙌
When relaxing, Kelly enjoys keeping the mind sharp with word searches and crossword puzzles, getting creative with sewing, and cruising around on a scooter. 🧩🧵🛴

Since February, she has been our dedicated housekeeping supervisor. She takes great pride in ensuring that residents enjoy a clean and safe environment. Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her two beautiful daughters. Julissa wants everyone to know about the heartfelt care and attention to detail that goes into making sure every resident feels safe and comfortable.

We’re excited to shine the spotlight this week on Doris B., who has been a cherished part of our community for five years 💙

Doris grew up on a farm south of Fontanelle, where farm life shaped many of her fondest memories. After marriage they built a new home on the land where the old farmhouse once stood—raising a family and enjoying a life rooted in hard work, nature, and community. Some of Doris’s proudest accomplishments include farming, raising chickens, tending to a huge garden, and—most of all—being incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️

When Doris isn’t relaxing, she enjoys listening to live music, attending social parties, and occasionally playing bingo with friends. We’re so grateful to have Doris as part of our community!

Maria shares that what she enjoys most about her role is helping residents and having meaningful conversations about their day—the heart of compassionate care. She describes our team as compassionate and family‑oriented, and that sense of connection is something she truly values. Looking ahead, Maria hopes to earn her LPN and continue working in long-term care within the next five years.

Her inspiration comes from her sister, who always helps others—even when things get busy. After a long day, Maria likes to unwind by taking a nap in her bed with her heated blanket.

Her advice to others entering the field? “Don’t overwork yourself—take time for yourself.”

One thing Maria wishes more people knew about our community is that we are very family oriented and go out of our way to meet people’s needs.

Diane says her favorite part of living here is the helpful people—and we’re so glad to have her as part of our community! When it comes to hobbies, Diane enjoys watching TV, sewing, and spending time walking and visiting with friends.

Diane has quite an impressive work history. She proudly worked at Walmart for 30 years, gaining experience across many different departments.

Her advice to the younger generation is simple but powerful: “Put priorities first.”

Kari has been a valued part of our team for seven years and recently returned full-time last year—and we are so glad to have her back!

What Kari loves most about her role is the meaningful relationships she builds with residents, along with teaching and training new nurses and team members to provide excellent care. She finds joy in knowing she can make someone’s day a little better. 🌟

She describes our team as family-oriented, always working together and going above and beyond to help when it’s needed most.

Kari’s passion has always been working with geriatrics, and her dedication truly shines through in everything she does.

Her biggest inspiration? Her family—they give her strength and remind her why caring for others matters so much. ❤️

After a long day, Kari recharges by spending quality time with her family—especially enjoying vacations to Florida! 🌴
