April is here. A season known for new life and things finally breaking through what once felt stuck.

Maybe that is exactly where you are right now. Feeling stuck. Tired of the same cycle. Wondering if real change is even possible.

This is your reminder…God is still in the business of making all things new.

We tried speaking life over the mower…
it just didn’t respond. 😅

So for now, it’s sitting on the sidelines. The motor is completely gone… and with 6 acres between our house and our sister house Saving Grace… that’s a real need.

Those 6 acres aren’t just grass. It’s the space where our men and women fellowship daily and seek peace with the Lord in prayer.

Keeping it cared for is part of what makes this place feel like a fresh start.

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

If you feel led to donate a mower or help us get one, we would truly be grateful. 🙏

There are seasons in recovery where everything feels dry. Faith feels distant and the weight of guilt or indecision settles in.

“And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God.’”
Mark 11:22

A huge thank you to Milligan Assembly of God for hosting another powerful "Detox" small group. Walking through Mark 11 and Ezekiel 37 reminded our men that God does not avoid dry places. He speaks into them and brings movement back to what felt stuck.

In recovery, valleys of dryness and indecision are real. But so is the voice of God calling things back to life. Nights like this remind us that the valley is not the end of the story.

“Is not the cup of thanksgiving… a participation in the blood of Christ?”
1 Corinthians 10:16

Last night we were reminded that not every voice deserves the final word. Our brothers and sisters from Crosspoint, South Crestview prayed over our men and shared how the blood of Abel cried out for judgment… but Jesus’ blood speaks mercy, restoration, and a new story. In recovery, that truth cuts deep. The past may be loud, but it doesn’t get to decide what comes next.

Afterwards we came together for the Lord’s Supper. Simple moment, real weight. Crosspoint, thank you for showing up and walking that out with us.

He didn’t come to God calm.
He came frustrated and questioning the journey.

“But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry. And he prayed to the Lord ‘I knew that You are a gracious and merciful God’”
Jonah 4:1-2

That tension is real in recovery.

Not every step makes sense. Not every prayer sounds right.
Sometimes it’s just, “why did it have to be this way?”

And still… God is the one we bring it to.
Because He’s not only willing to hear it, He’s the only One who can actually do something with it.

Thank you Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Lockhart, Al for opening your doors to host our Reality Is skit and for feeding our men so well.
What you gave wasn’t just a place and a meal… it was space to be honest.

To sit in the middle of the process and still be met with grace.

Some are still walking through that tension.
Learning that even here, God hasn’t stepped away.

James made sure not a single piece of Easter candy survived last week…

And honestly, we couldn’t be happier!

No melted chocolate disasters. No sticky tables. Just a lot of smiles and a clean reset for this week.

So we’re back at it.

“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”
Proverbs 11:25

That’s what this is. People showing up for people. And somehow, everyone leaves with more than they came with.

Last night was a sweet reminder of God’s faithfulness, and we are grateful to First Baptist Church of Crestview for welcoming our ministry team to your steak dinner event.

We enjoyed such meaningful fellowship, had the opportunity to share our testimonies through our Reality Is skit, and were blessed by the kindness shown to us throughout the evening. The meal was wonderful too, and we definitely appreciated the delicious steak and baked potatoes.

One part of the night that stood out was Stefan’s stand on scripture in Reality Is from Philippians 4:6. Its message brought such a fitting tone to the evening, reminding us to bring everything to the Lord with prayer, thanksgiving, and quiet trust in His care.

Thank you again for your hospitality and the way you made our team feel so welcomed. We are thankful for the time shared together and for the encouragement of being with fellow believers.

Gratitude is easy when things are going right
Commitment is proven when they’re not

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if unto the Lord”
Colossians 3:23

Our recent pep rally wasn’t just about fundraising
It showed what’s being built behind the scenes

Daniel Gil was recognized for an attitude of gratitude that hasn’t wavered
Michael Rankin for a commitment that keeps showing up day after day

Then came the test
Do the small things right, even when it feels simple

Fastest to set up and break down their table the right way walked away with a steak dinner and a movie

Congrats to Nick Thomas and Chris Johnson for securing the fastest time!

But the real win wasn’t the prize
It was watching men take ownership, care about the details, and do things with purpose

Our purpose is to provide an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling problems. By applying biblical principles it is our belief that people with life controlling addictions can become mentally-sound, emotionally-balanced, socially-adjusted, physically-well, and spiritually-alive.

Our goal is to help residents establish chemical-free lifestyles in connection with issues they identify as life-controlling and to recognize that these skills and tools are transferable to future problems and challenges they will face.
