⭐️ Happy New Year! ⭐️

If you haven’t thought about a New Year’s resolution yet, consider this!

✨American Heart Association recommends 150 minutes of moderate activity per week in addition to strength training twice a week.

✨If 150 minutes sounds like a lot, start with 10 minutes and each week, add 2-5 minutes to your activity

✨Moderate- intensity exercise like brisk walking, water aerobics, gardening, and biking (

❓❓Have you or a family member been told you may need a pacemaker or defibrillator? We are happy to help! 🩺

🔷A pacemaker prevents the heart rate from dropping too low.

🔷A defibrillator is a device that acts as a pacemaker if needed, but also has the ability to save patients from life-threatening heart rhythms.

⭐️ These devices are designed to ensure patients can return to normal daily activities without significant limitations.

🫀Atrial Fibrillation (Afib) can increase the risk of stroke 5 times!
🧠 15-20% of ischemic strokes are related to Afib.
❤️Anticoagulants (blood thinners) are prescribed to significantly reduce the risk of stroke.
⚔️ Other options include left atrial appendage closure techniques (ex. Watchman).
🛑 Stop strokes before they occur and know your options.

💙Atrial fibrillation (Afib) can seem like an overwhelming diagnosis, but it’s the most common arrhythmia we treat.
🩵The earlier it’s treated, the more successful patients are with less chances of being admitted to the hospital with heart failure or symptoms associated with Afib like fatigue, dizziness, palpitations, and shortness of breath.
💙Take a quick survey to see if ablation may be the right option for you.
🩵Call (850)854-3278 to schedule a consultation today.

Why let the symptoms of AFib or the side effects of medications stand in the way? Catheter ablation is a minimally-invasive procedure that may offer freedom from AFib medications.

Most people have an episode of syncope (fainting) at some point in their life, this is a good basic table to identify dangerous causes and whichever group you are in, get evaluated.

Did you know that sometimes a faint is more than a faint? It may be a symptom of a heart condition that could lead to sudden death if untreated.

Sudden fainting with exercise or because of a startle needs to be checked out. Ask your doctor if you or your child could be at risk for sudden cardiac arrest. Diagnosis is often the difference between life and death.

October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness month! ❤️
Learn how to operate an AED (automated external defibrillator) and perform CPR!

🆘 Become familiar with AED instructions in the event you may need it. Most public places and large buildings have them available.
🆘 Don’t wait for an AED to begin CPR. If available, call for help and begin CPR immediately.
🆘 Bystander CPR significantly increases the chances of survival in out of hospital cardiac arrest.
🆘 CPR performed within 2 minutes of cardiac arrest is associated with the best outcomes.
🆘Take a local Basic Life Support/CPR class.

⚡️ Myth vs. Fact ⚡️

Myth: Waiting for emergency responders is enough when someone collapses from sudden cardiac arrest.

Fact: Every minute without CPR or defibrillation reduces a person’s chance of survival by 7–10%. Immediate action — calling 911, starting CPR, and using an AED — can make the difference between life and death. ❤️

Learn the facts. Gain the skills. Save a life.

Keep following all month long for more facts, resources, and tips on how to be .
