WFAHEC is one of 10 regional area health education centers in the state of Florida. Together, Florida AHEC centers are an extensive, statewide system for health professional education and support. Our newest Grant/Project is Certified navigator Services through Covering Florida on healthcare.gov. (This program is supported by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award

AHEC Scholars Applications Close Tomorrow!

Are you a student in a health-related field who wants real-world experience, mentorship, and a $1,000 stipend while serving your community?
This is your chance to join the 8th AHEC Scholars cohort, but you need to act fast.
The initial application deadline is tomorrow, September 30. (An extension is possible, but don’t risk missing out.)

Who’s Eligible
Undergraduate or graduate students with at least four semesters remaining in a health-related field, including but not limited to:
• Nursing (BSN or MSN)
• Public Health (BSPH or MPH)
• Medicine
• Dentistry
• Occupational Therapy
• Physical Therapy
• Nurse Practitioner (MSN or DNP)
• Physician Assistant
• Psychology (MS)
• Mental Health Counseling (MS)

Program Highlights
• 40 hours/year of community-based experiential training (health fairs, outreach, shadowing)
• 40 hours/year of online learning
• $1,000 total stipend over two years
• Flexible scheduling, mentorship, and interprofessional networking

Are you a student in a health-related field who wants real-world experience, mentorship, and a stipend while serving your community? The AHEC Scholars Program is your chance to build skills, grow your professional network, and stand out in your career. Applications for our 8th cohort close September 30, don’t wait!
