Parts of our district are in a Fire Weather Watch as we head into the weekend, as much of western Nebraska remains in a Red Flag warning through today.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur.
Visit US National Weather Service Hastings Nebraska for updated information.
Nebraska Emergency Management Agency is also a great place to get updated information on the current status of fires in Nebraska.
