Congratulations to Community Preparedness and Resilience Finalist, Southeast Nebraska MRC. In 2024 the Southeast Nebraska MRC had a tremendous impact across their region, logging an incredible 5,179 total hours with an economic value of more than $247,429.

The MRC Program Office established the Community Preparedness and Resilience Recognition to honor an MRC unit that has demonstrated contributions at the community level aimed at building resilience and improving public health preparedness.

Each year on September 11, the National Day of Service and Remembrance reminds us of the power of service to heal and unite. The Medical Reserve Corps MRC, a network of nearly 300,000 volunteers nationwide, embodies that mission daily.
Whether staffing shelters, supporting blood drives, or offering crisis counseling, MRC volunteers are trusted extensions of local health and emergency systems. Their dedication shows that service is more than one day, it’s a lasting commitment to resilience.
