Gave two massages today to two repeat clients, one a prenatal and one a 30 minute custom massage. One client took some of my business cards to share at her office and the other posted a rating on my page. Thank you to both, because you know what? Word of mouth is my best business builder! Thank you Morgan for the great recommendation!! PS: what is a "custom massage"? It's a massage designed specifically for your issues....works especially well if you have limited time or budget. Getting a 30 minute massage for a specific issue, followed by a chiropractic adjustment is a great combo.

After an enforced time off due to surgery in June I am back in full swing at Crossroads Family Chiropractic! Exciting things are happening, check it out...

3. I recently took a class on Lymphatic drainage and have had some amazing results with the techniques. One of my prenatal clients was suffering with a lot of swelling in her feet and after treatment she lost 4 pounds of water weight and was able to get her gym shoes on again! This technique is great for any type of swelling due to a variety of issues such as sprains, airplane travel, cosmetic surgery, pregnancy, etc, etc. you get the idea!

I wanted to comment on a particular issue that came up during a massage session today. When a woman is pregnant her body produces more clotting factor in her blood than normal. It is the body's way of protecting her from bleeding too much during childbirth. This is one of the reasons why I don't do deep massage on the legs when I give a prenatal massage. BUT...did you know that the increase in clotting factor can still be present in the body for up to 6 months after a woman gives birth? This is one of the many reasons it is important to go to a massage therapist who specializes in pre/postnatal massage...Me :)

I'm never sure how people will take this. But here it is. This week I decided to pray over my space and my massage table. I always pray over my clients. Whether they know it or not, I do. It centers me, guides me. But when I added prayer over my table...I can't even describe...profound relaxation...muscles just MELTED, I connected with a baby who needed to process his birth, my intuitive skills and direction were just spot on....I just don't know what else to say.....Praise Jesus, his hands are mine....
