Happy Sabbath!!

We camped at Goodman Park a few weeks back. The pictures are just before prime fall colors. I am not able to capture the glory and splendor as well as being there in person, but I do pray that you will have a radiant and glorious sabbath day!

As the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking.

Happy Sabbath!!

I’ve been gone the last few sabbaths and we have had frost several times. The garden is in a mess but I cheerfully went out to cut flowers. I figured I could scrounge up one little bouquet for church…when I was done cutting flowers see the little bouquet I ended up with. I laughed and thanked God for his blessings.

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Happy Sabbath!

The sunflowers were much more obedient today. The sunflower bouquet came together in a matter of minutes and the sunflowers still look as beautiful as ever.

If you are willing and obedient,
you shall eat the good of the land.

Happy Sabbath!!

Sunflower bouquets are one of the hardest to work with. They have this habit of doing what they want, how they want and whenever they want. They still manage to charm and delight you with their happy faces no matter what they do.

Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Happy Sabbath!!

The flowers are in a bit of a lull. They are exhausted from the last couple weeks of putting on a show, so they are patiently waiting for the rain to replenish them.

You sent abundant rain, O God,
to refresh the weary land.
There your people finally settled,
and with a bountiful harvest, O God,
you provided for your needy people.

Philip got in on the action and made the first zinnia bouquet. He’s a wonderful kid who likes all things colorful.

Happy Sabbath!!

I’m not always sure what I’m thinking when I plant all these flowers but I now have an abundance of flowers…so many to cut and make bouquets out of.

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Happy Sabbath!

It was raining this morning so pictures had to be taken indoors. The rain is a wonderful thing for all the flowers and plants.

Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants in the field to everyone. Zachariah 10:1

The boys always love the yellow vase with the smiley face. A smile or cheerful face always seems to be a bit contagious so spread a smile today.

Happy Sabbath!

I wasn’t sure I was going to have any flowers for this week but God provided plenty. I might even have enough for a couple more bouquets.
