Annapolis Pediatrics is happy to announce that we are partnering with the Lila Grace Milk Depot to be a drop-off location for pre-screened milk donations at our Crofton, Maryland office.

Starting December 3rd, 2018, nursing mothers in our community with extra breastmilk may contact the Lila Grace Milk Depot directly through their website at www.lilagracemilkdepot.org, in order to go through the screening process to be able to donate.

Our intent is to share this resource with local women and children businesses in the community, to be able to make an impact together in saving lives by providing this valuable service to babies in need.

Being a doula is one of the hardest jobs. We are ready to jump out of bed and run to you the minute you need us 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We walk out that door and kiss our families goodbye not knowing when we will see them again. Will it be 6 hours or three days? We will leave our kids birthday party, Christmas morning opening presents, family gatherings. We have a backup plan for every day of our life in case we get called to you. Will it be a happy birth or a scary hard birth? WIll we have to tuck our emotions way down deep to be that calm presence you need? Will we get a break? We sometimes go days without sleep only to come home and have 10 things to reschedule and our families who need us. There are so many sacrifices. But what keeps us going is how much we love our job and our clients. We do this because the way you feel about your birth MATTERS to us. You MATTER to us. When you hire a doula you are getting more than just someone to squeeze your hips. You are getting a lifeline.
