As November begins, we invite you to pause and turn inward toward gratitude. When life feels uncertain or busy, gratitude becomes more than a feeling; it becomes a compass guiding us back to what truly matters.

Our mantra this week is:
✨ “Gratitude grounds me in the present moment.”

In yoga, we learn that awareness is directional; it can move us toward peace or away from it. Gratitude is that gentle inner compass that always points us home. When we pause to notice even one thing we’re grateful for, a breath, a sunrise, a moment of laughter, the mind begins to quiet.

Science now confirms what yogis have known for centuries: gratitude rewires the brain, increases serotonin, and lowers stress hormones, helping us respond to life with calm and clarity.

As Tamara Levitt beautifully said:
“Gratitude is like a love letter to your life. And you’ve got to write one each day.”

Your Weekly Gratitude Challenge: The Gratitude Scavenger Hunt
Each day this week, find and acknowledge one thing that grounds you in gratitude. Use your senses to guide you to what you see, hear, feel, or experience that reminds you of life’s goodness.

💜Wednesday: Something you can see that makes you smile
💜Thursday: A sound that soothes or uplifts you
💜Friday: A scent that stirs a happy memory
💜Saturday: A touch or texture that comforts you
💜Sunday: A taste you savor slowly and mindfully
💜Monday: A moment you’re grateful for today
💜Tuesday: A person you appreciate, tell them why

Let these small discoveries become stepping-stones back to calm and connection.

Using the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls, gentle chimes, and other harmonious instruments, this experience guides you into a state of deep rest where your nervous system can reset and your body can unwind.

This workshop is suitable for everyone — no experience with yoga or meditation is necessary. Simply come as you are, lie back comfortably, and allow the vibrations to wash over you, bringing a sense of peace and inner calm.

🍁 Weekly Reset | Yoga Nidra for Letting Go 🍁
Have you ever noticed how a simple glass of water can feel light at first but heavy if you hold it all day? Stress and worry work the same way. The longer we hold on, the heavier they become.
This week’s Yoga Nidra for Letting Go is your invitation to set things down for a bit. Through gentle awareness, breath, and guided rest, you’ll learn to release tension, calm the mind, and restore your energy from the inside out.

✨ Mantra: “I gently release to restore my energy.”

🎥 Watch on YouTube: Link in the comments!

It’s important to remember to put the glass down. Don’t carry the weight of today’s worries into tomorrow. As early in the evening as you can, set your burdens down and permit yourself to rest.
“Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow; it only saps today of its joy.”
— Leo F. Buscaglia

“People get so in the habit of worry that if you save them from drowning and put them on a bank to dry in the sun with hot chocolate and muffins, they wonder whether they are catching a cold.”
— John Jay Chapman

Let the trees remind you that letting go is not loss; it’s the beginning of renewal. 🍂

What’s one thing you’re ready to put down this week?

The Crofton Yoga Story

In 2003, Jacci Gruninger opened a one studio room, Crofton Yoga for Every Body

(CY) in the Chelsea House on Route Three in Crofton. Within the year she expended to a second studio. In 2007, Jacci, Shelbi Miles and Emily Gretz established Park Yoga, LLC and opened Park Yoga (in affiliation with CY) on Rte 2 in Severna Park. The three ran and operated Park for 18 months at which time Jacci made a family decision to move to the West. Shelbi and Emily bought CY from Jacci and Park Yoga was sold so that they could concentrate on growing the Crofton business. In 2010, Crofton Yoga was moved to its current location at 2431 Crofton Lane where it continues to support the Crofton and surrounding communities with quality, yoga for mind, body and spirit; YOGA for EVERY BODY.
