I grew up spending time on my family’s farm here in Anne Arundel County.
Back then… I didn’t think much about it.
It was just dirt… fields… work… and being outside.
But over time, something started to make sense. When you’re working with the land, you realize pretty quickly
🌱You’re not in control of it
🌱 You’re in a relationship with it
You care for the soil…and it gives something back.
This week, as we reflect on Earth Day and Asteya (non-stealing), I’ve been thinking about that.
Not in a big, overwhelming way.
Just this:
👉 When we feel connected… we tend to take only what we need.
✨ This week, try this: Step outside… even for a few minutes. No phone. No agenda.
🌾 Feel the ground beneath your feet
🍃 Notice the air on your skin
🌱 Look at what’s growing around you
Offer a sense of gratitude for all of it!
Sometimes the connection comes first… and the care follows naturally.
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” ~Albert Einstein
