Our very own Chaplain, Major (Ret.) Eusebia Rios, recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to represent veterans at the Annual Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Conference - an experience she describes as a true honor.
After serving 33 years in the U.S. Air Force, managing the Chaplain Candidate Program and deploying 18 times, Chaplain Rios continues her mission of advocacy by speaking on behalf of veterans and ensuring their voices are heard on Capitol Hill.
The conference brings together veterans from across the country to focus on education, training, and advancing policies that directly impact veterans and their families. This year’s critical priorities included improving the claims and appeals process, strengthening support for toxic-exposed veterans, expanding mental health and su***de prevention efforts, protecting benefits, and enhancing long-term and dental care services.
While in D.C., Chaplain Rios also had the distinct honor of meeting Margaret Grun Kibben—the first woman to serve as Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives.
We are incredibly proud of Chaplain Rios for her continued dedication to those who have served. Her leadership and advocacy make a meaningful difference for veterans here at home and across the nation.
