Thanks to Layala for being awesome. Ms. Long for empowering her as a leader. And a special thanks to the Cross Plains Optimist Club for recognizing our awesome Park students each year.

This morning at our General meeting we awarded Layla St. Pierre our March Student of the Month award! Layla's teachers say that "Layla is such a joy to have in class. She's truly a hardworking student who takes her schoolwork seriously, but what really stands out is how responsible and self-aware she is for her age. She has a heart of gold and is always looking for ways to include others, making her a natural at teamwork." Congratulations Layla!

Due to the Winter Storm Warning taking effect tonight at 7:00 p.m., we have decided to close all MCPASD schools and District buildings on Monday, March 16, 2026. As the warning will remain in effect until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, all after-school activities and programs are also canceled on Monday, including our School Board meeting.
In addition, all activities scheduled in MCPASD schools and District buildings after 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, are canceled.
We understand the significant impact that closing our schools and facilities can have and want to reassure you that this action is taken with the utmost consideration. To understand the process our District follows in deciding closures due to inclement weather, we encourage you to visit our website: https://loom.ly/AABxG4w

Here's a message from her teacher, Ms. Long:
I am proud to nominate Laya St. Pierre for the Optimist Student of the Month. She is a student very much worthy of the nomination, as she applies herself academically and treats others with kindness and respect. We are all lucky to know her. - Ms. Long

Elementary and middle school students and staff were in the Olympic spirit this week and practiced a key element of A Cardinal's Journey!

Inspired by the Winter Olympics, students at Kromrey Middle School played different sports like snowboarding, skiing, and figure skating and jumping for joy! ❤️

At Park Elementary School, educators Ellie Paulson and Nicole Kartman led the school's first-ever Staff Olympic Games, where staff competed in speed skating, the luge, the torch and bobsled relays and more. They said it was a great way to practice the Collaboration Foundation from A Cardinal's Journey.

Keep up the amazing teamwork, everyone!

Lizzie Kahl-Shields!!!

MCPASD bus driver Treavor Lenz recently connected his Park Elementary School bus riders with Middleton High School's varsity girls basketball team!

Mr. Treavor's daily bus route includes Park Elementary School students, and he also drives the Middleton High School girls basketball team to games. He asked his Park bus riders to draw pictures to decorate the bus for the team's recent playoff game, and fourth grader Lizzie Kahl-Shields went all out!

"The team loved them, judging from their reactions and that they took everyone's drawings with them as they left!" Mr. Treavor said.

Thank you to Lizzie for sharing her artistic talents and to Mr. Treavor for celebrating our students!
