Did you know Dr. Reeson can fit you for Orthotics?! At Reeson Chiropractic we use the Foot Leveler's brand of Custom Orthotics. They are a game changer!

Your feet are the foundation of your body. They support you when you stand, walk, or run. And they help protect your spine, bones, and soft tissues from damaging stress as you move around. Your feet perform better when all their muscles, arches, and bones are in their ideal stable positions.

The foot is constructed with three arches which, when properly maintained, give exceptional supportive strength. These three arches form a supporting vault that distributes the weight of the entire body.

If there is compromise of one arch in the foot, the other arches must compensate and are subject to additional stresses, which usually leads to further compromise.

It’s a chain reaction.

Dr. Reeson knows alleviating pain in one part of your body often requires treating a different area or region of the spine. The pain you feel in your neck could be caused by a misalignment in your spine that is caused by unbalanced positioning in your feet. See? It’s a chain reaction.

By stabilizing and balancing your feet, custom molded Orthotics from Reeson Chiropractic will enhance your body’s performance and efficiency, reduce pain, and contribute to your total body wellness. Our orthotics will compliment your Gonstead Chiropractic Treatment when you stand, walk, and live your active life.

Dr. Reeson's Chiropractic Techniques

We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on our clinical judgment and years of experience.

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Diversified
After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up “stuck” spinal joints.

Gonstead
This full spine approach relies on X-rays and a heat-sensing instrument for a thorough evaluation and documented results.

Activator Methods®
This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.

Thompson
Thompson Terminal Point technique is a system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine.

If you’ve been to a chiropractor before and prefer to be adjusted in a particular way, let us know. We want you to relax, enjoy and fully benefit from your chiropractic care. Call Amy at Reeson Chiropractic now to begin care today! 608-798-3437

How Chiropractic Care Treats Allergies

There is a very close connection between the human body’s nervous and immune systems. Chiropractors work to enhance the patient’s physical communication pathways between the spinal cord and the brain. This is the main way in which chiropractic medicine can help allergy sufferers regulate their bodily reactions to allergens and coordinate physical reactions to substances that usually cause problems.

Of course, every patient is unique, and your chiropractor will design a treatment plan based on your medical history, physical condition, age, allergic symptoms, and other factors.

However, there are four basic ways that chiropractic medicine offers relief from allergies and helps people get long-term, natural relief:

1. It works to moderate and restore hormonal systems that deal with stress: When a person’s adrenal glands are overburdened due to excessive stress, the body can’t moderate allergic reactions. Adjusting the spine can mean a stronger adrenal system, which typically results in fewer and less severe allergy symptoms.

2. It enhances the body’s entire immune-response system: When the alignment of the spine is out of kilter, the brain is not able to communicate effectively with the body. Chiropractors can focus on restoring neck alignment to enhance the natural immune response of the body and decrease unwanted allergy symptoms.

3. Chiropractic physicians offer advice about lifestyle changes: Chiropractors are trained to uncover lifestyle factors in their patients’ daily routines that make allergies worse. They then instruct people about how to change these factors and get faster relief.

4. Chiropractic treatment can strengthen the respiratory system: The human respiratory system can’t do its job effectively unless the brain and body can communicate in the right way. When the spine is not properly aligned, this communication system gets thrown off. Chiropractors adjust the spine in such a way that the respiratory system can get back to work and effectively handle allergic reactions.
