Highlight reel aside:

1️⃣ I don’t count calories or track my macros. I love nutrition and exercise and have established a healthy balance between the two without feeling the need to constantly track what I’m eating.

2️⃣ I have to rely on convenience foods (mac n’ cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dogs) sometimes to feed my kids. Most weeks are so busy I don’t always have time to cook a meal from scratch and that’s okay. I do my best to add a vegetable and a fruit to their plate at every meal, but that doesn’t always happen.

3️⃣ I usually rest on weekends and look forward to spending time outdoors with the kids. I used to wake up before 6am to get a cardio workout in before the kids woke up. These days, I’m content getting a restful sleep and look forward to going for a walk with the kids and dogs later in the day.

4️⃣ I always have laundry that needs to be done - whether it’s clean and unfolded or piling up in stacks. I don’t let it stress me out and will gladly go exercise or cook knowing it will be there when I get back.
