For months, a sister and her brother took turns caring for their 82-year-old mother — once full of life, then immobile after a stroke.
They lifted her, bathed her, fed her, and stayed up through the night whenever she yelled in pain.
Exhausted, overwhelmed and worried, they began to wonder if love alone was enough.
