Our hygienists’ favorite products for patients to use are Sonicare electric toothbrushes and proxy brushes for those patients that have difficult to reach areas. Both are great for better plaque removal which leads to better oral health! 🦷

October is Dental Hygiene Awareness Month!
We asked our hygienists:
What do you love most about being a hygienist?

Cassidy: “My favorite thing about being a dental hygienist has to be the relationships I make with my patients. I feel that taking time to get to know your patients helps to created a more personalize plan for each person’s oral health journey.”

Sophia: “I love aiding in instilling confidence in patients’ smiles and educating them on the importance of good oral hygiene and healthier lifestyles.”

Dental visits look different at every age.
For our littlest patients, education and a good experience are key, but we are also checking for growth, development & signs of dental disease. There is no minimum age for getting a cavity.
The ADA recommends having your child’s first dental visit after the 1st tooth erupts or by their 1st birthday. If your little one has not had a good dental exam, call us at 337-783-2455 to set up a visit!
