You've seen us post that we're in-network for ultrasound with United Healthcare/UMR, Ambetter (ACA marketplace insurer), and more to come, right?
"Great, how's that help me?" is a pretty logical response, so here's how it helps.
Your insurance company has "negotiated rates" with providers. Sounds good, but they don't negotiate with us, we're not big enough, and Big Healthcare doesn't want places like ours around anyway.
So OUR "negotiated" (dictated) rates are much lower.
If you haven't met your half a billion dollar deductible, a scan you get at Big Hospital or Chain Clinic Inc can cost you $500, $800, $1100, or more WITH your insurance.
The same diagnostic scan at our ACR accredited place, performed by ARDMS certified Sonographers, typically costs under $150. It still goes to your deductible, you can still use your FSA/HSA card, and you can still afford to buy groceries on the way home.
And Oh By The Way, the Radiologist interpretation is included. No separate bill for someone you've never even seen.
We don't have to pay for statues, and marble, and CEO's, and executive helicopters, and team building events in the Bahamas, etc... So we can pass that savings on to you.
And if we're not in network for you, give us a call. There's a super high likelihood that we're STILL way cheaper than your insurance.
