First Steps - Northwest Indiana

First Steps - Northwest Indiana First Steps is Indiana's Early Intervention System. We provide therapies to children birth to three with developmental delays or those at risk for delays.

Northwest Indiana First Steps serves Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton, Starke & Polaski Counties. If you have a child age birth to three and have concerns for their development, please call the Northwest Indiana First Steps office today to make a referral. NWI First Steps provides evaluations and home-based therapies to children for children birth to three who have developmental delays or disabilities. First Steps services are available to all Indiana children, regardless of family income, if the child meets eligibility criteria. We operate on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size.
